He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph W. Berger and Sarah Berger (Hoffman); his wife Lois E. (Edmundson) of Flat Rock, NC; his son William H. "Bill" Berger; his sisters, Helen Fisher and Mary Klinger; his son-in-law Donald Lahr; and his pet Eddie.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas E. Berger of Milton, Linda G. Lahr of Shamokin and Susan K. Berger of Milton; his grandchildren, Jennifer (Nic McClure), Steven (Catharine Berger) and Heather (Mike Nacko); his great grandchildren, Allyson McClure, Sydney and Landon Nacko; his siblings, Lawrence Berger of Vicksburg and Rachel Everitt of Buffalo, NY; and his daughter-in-law Donna Berger of Madison, AL. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
