He was predeceased by: his parents, George E. Taylor and Dorothy Taylor (Young); his wife Helen Tyson; his siblings, William E. Taylor, Marvine Roupp and Betty Taylor; and his grandchildren, Mandy and Joshua Taylor.

He is survived by: his children, Debra (Ralph Gundrum), Brenda (Eric Blom), Steven (Lee Taylor) and Jeffrey (Susan Taylor); his grandchildren, Ronnie Marie, Benjamin, Charles, Marcus, Kris, Jayne, Jim, Nathan, Tara, Clarissa, Kristen and Jared; and his sister Loretta Beaver of Montgomery. He is also survived by 20 great grandchildren.
