He was predeceased by: his parents, Jake Minier and Ruphemia Minier; his wife Nancy Pauline Young; his son Keith "Big Daddy" Minier; and his brother-in-law Robert Trivelpiece.

He is survived by: his children, Norma Jean Harrison (Randy), Terry Shaffer (Nancy), Mark Minier (Deb), Marion Lynn Botts (Richard), Dean Minier (Michelle), Stanley Shaffer (Lisa), Sandy Crier, Troy Minier (Patty), Richard Minier (Cara) and Russell Minier; his daughter-in-law Debbie Minier; and his sister Peggy Trivelpiece. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
