It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Mathias of Watsontown, Pennsylvania, born in White Deer, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 8, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Roy and Margaret Ellen Mathias (Prowant); his former wife Twila Stahl Mathias; and his brothers, Dale and Harry Mathias.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Johnson Walters Mathias; his children, Gaye Jarrett of Watsontown, Beth Pfleegor (Douglas) of Mainsburg, PA and C. Scott Mathias (LeAnn) of Muncy; his stepchildren, Rhonda Walters Rhoades of Ft. Wayne, IN, Wayne Walters (Maria) of Picture Rocks and Howard C. Walters of Watsontown; his daughter-in-law Edwina Walters of Montgomery; and his sisters, Gloria Biichle (Harold) of Williamsport and Maxine Roup of Danville. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
