He was predeceased by: his parents, Morris K. Kurtz and Jennie Kurtz (Troxell); his sisters, Shirley Noll of Lewisburg and Mary Pennycoff of Turbotville; his daughter Trudy Hollenbach; and his granddaughters, Camryn and McKenley Kurtz.
He is survived by: his wife Georgia R. Mixell; his son Andrew M. Kurtz, Jr. of Allenwood; his grandchildren, Kelsey, Ethan Kurtz and Connor Hollenbach; and his brother Lavier Kurtz, Sr..
