He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Wilver and Elizabeth Wilver (Feeney); and his siblings, Helen Kessel, William, Richard and James.

He is survived by: his wife Frances Louise Suit; his sons, Ralph (Wendi) of New Columbia, David (Bonnie) of North Carolina, Richard of Dewart, Michael of Illinois and Paul of Georgia; and his siblings, Faye Kleppinger of Lewisburg, Joanna Shannon (Dale) of Lewisburg and Donald of New Columbia. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
