He is survived by: his mother Ellen Titus Gaines; his wife Darlene Carrie O'Conner Gaines; his sons, James Arthur Gaines (Shannon) of Peachtree City, GA and Joseph Edward Gaines of Colorado Springs; his siblings, Joan Hagberg of Phoenix, Gloria Jean Merkle of Union City, Linda Hamrick (Terry) of Waterford, Kathleen Ann Thomeir (Bob) of Erie, Ronald E. Gaines (Dawn) of Myrtle Beach, Ken L. Gaines (April) of McKean and John Gaines (Leanne) of Mill Village; his aunt Fran Wright of Centerville; his grandchildren, Jessica, Kristofer, Seth, Ashlyn, Samantha, Addison, Lauren, Eliana and James; and his great grandchildren, Devin and Sadie Jo. He is also survived by two sons, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
