She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert E. Benjamin and Roberta D. Wilmot Benjamin. She is survived by: her husband Howard E. Stone; her son Lewis H. Stone; her siblings, Nellie, Evelyn and Robert; her children, Ruth E. (Stone), Lydia Stone (Lewis), Susan R. (Stone), John Miller III, Carol F. (Stone), Thomas Bostaph, Janet L. (Stone) and David Shields; and her grandchildren, Heather, Holly, Philip, Daniel, Valerie, Robert, John, Emily, Bethany, Andrew, Timothy, Corey and Derrick. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Elma and Howard were founding members of the Waterford Baptist Church and the family requests memorial.
