He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Welch and Marie Bopp Welch; his son Steve Welch; his brother Charles Welch, Jr.; and his granddaughters, Hope and Faith.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Atchison; his children, William Welch of Washington, Jackie Fowler (Shane) of Washington, Leslie Gaines of Washington and Carol Pallett of Washington; and his siblings, John Welch (Kathy) of Eighty-Four, Elizabeth Baumgardner (Chuck) of Washington and Diane Austing (Mike) of Tridelphia. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, all services are private and entrusted to William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
