She is survived by: her husband Edward Johns; her children, Leon Patchin (Asmaa), Susan Yeager of Washington, Joyce Beighle of Washington, Elana Patchin of Pittsburgh, Beth Marsden of Washington and Jennifer Ralston (Christopher) of Washington; and her siblings, John, Thomas, Harry, Sam Fowler, Jean Hoostal, Clara Hale, Martha Majors and Juanita Peckerman. She is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
