It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard Strope of Washington, Pennsylvania, born in Taylorstown, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 21, 2021, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Richard and Flossie Frances Waycoff Strope; his son Richard "Ricky" Strope; and his siblings, Nancy Strope Wright, Charles A. Strope and Merle D. Strope.
He is survived by: his wife Catherine Alberta; his daughters, Ruth Ann Cleveland (Rich) of Washington, Jill Snyder (Kevin) of Pickerington, OH and Cheryl Putnam (Scott) of Washington; his grandchildren, Kimberly Strope, Ginger Strope, Patrick Cleveland (Kelsey), Michael Cleveland, Alexa Belleau (Brian), Rachael Snyder, Nick Snyder (Lynsey), Sydney Putnam and Spencer Putnam; his siblings, Patsy Strope Holliday (Trevor) of Sewickley and Robert Strope (Patty) of Washington; his great grandchildren, Claire, Bodey Cleveland, Brayden, Olivia, Kali, Kane Belleau, Dominik Javanovski, Tatum Snyder, Sheridan, Savanah, Sierra Johnson and Joseph Johnson; and his great great grandchild Kambrii. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the family requests private viewing and service.
