She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Gale and Ruby King (Crowe); and her sons, Ricky and Howard "Butchie" Rood. She is survived by: her husband Larry J. Boyd, Sr.; her children, Tammy Houston (Larry), Jeff Rood (Vikki), Loretta Holland (Benny), Bobby Boyd (Ranea), Tina Boyd, Larry Boyd, Jr. and Kathy; and her brothers, J. D. King (Lori) and Scott King (Mary). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces.
