He was predeceased by: his parents, John Karpy and Elizabeth Dudash Karpy; his son Brett R. Karpy; and his siblings, Dorothy J. Vehar, Regina Benson and Joseph Karpy.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ruffner Karpy; his son Royce Karpy (Sabrina) of Eighty Four; his siblings, Donna Lee Few of Canonsburg and Robert Karpy (Sharon) of Canonsburg; and his grandchildren, Caleb and Hayden.
