With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Joan Calabro of Washington, Pennsylvania, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Foglia and Elizabeth Provenzano Foglia; her spouse Carmen Calabro; and her siblings, Robert, Richard Foglia, Eleanor Campagna and Angela Sonson.
She is survived by: her children, Nancy Sargent (John) of Washington, PA, Susan Hirst (Jeffrey) of Canonsburg, PA and Carmen Calabro (Joann) of Canonsburg, PA; her sister Sharon Fonner of Florida; her grandchildren, Juliet Highberger (Jarrod), Christine Shanks (Christopher), Marguerite Miller (Sam), Celeste Keenan (Matt), Marielle Sargent (Tim Myers), Alexander Hirst, Celena Calabro and Matthias Hirst; her great grandchildren, Claudya, Carmen, Sadie, Mabel, Tessa, Otis and Ariella; and her sisters-in-law, Alice Calabro, Myrna Calabro and Janet Calabro.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Warco-Falvo Funeral Home, Inc. (336 Wilson Ave, Washington, PA 15301). A prayer will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. James Parish (119 W Chestnut St, Washington, PA 15301).
She volunteered with Masses at the Washington Hospital and was a volunteer with the American Cancer Society.
