He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Sharon Carpenter (Meek); his children, Teresa Ware (Bryon), Robert Carpenter (Norma) and Christopher Carpenter (Edith); his grandchildren, Jessica McConnell (Justin), Caitlin Carpenter, Casey Carpenter, Zachary Carpenter, Erik Carpenter (Rachel), Emma Carpenter, Jason Ware, Alexys Carpenter and Megan Ware; his siblings, Mick Carpenter (Karen), Kent Carpenter (Debbie) and Kurt Carpenter (Tanya); and his parents, John Carpenter and Velva Carpenter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Carpenter family to be used for a family memorial, at Woodruff Memorial Park.
