He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman E. Thumm and Helen Pendleton Thumm. He is survived by: his children, David E. Thumm Jr. of Washington, Brian S. Thumm (Kerri) of Canonsburg, Rob C. Thumm (Rhonda) of Houston and Kristen E. Hamilton (Shawn) of Washington; his stepsons, Jeffrey A. Dennis (Jennifer) of Las Vegas and Scott A. Dennis (Laurie) of Wintersville, Ohio; his sister Bethann Jacobson of New Bern; his grandchildren, Daniel, Aaron Thumm, Haley, Jaden Hamilton and Alex Eustis; his stepgrandchildren, Abigail, Emily and Teagan Dennis; his great grandchild Sayyira Gray; and his cousin Kevin Pendleton (Brenda). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Piatt-Barnhill Funeral Home (420 Locust Ave, Washington, PA 15301). A masonic service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
