She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Ward and Mae Ward (Brillhart); and her husband David R. Johnston. She is survived by: her daughters, Janis McKenna (Clark) of Michigan and Barbara Jones (Bryan) of Washington; her grandchildren, Haley Volk (Bill), Cole, Holly McKenna, Hannah and Sarah Bryker; her stepgrandchildren, Kevin Jones (Megan) and Katherine Rizzutti (Nick); her great grandchildren, Earl and Eliza; her stepgreat-grandchildren, Adley, Emilia and Giuliano; and her siblings, Virginia McCarl, William and Patrick Ward.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hummell and Jones Funeral Home (420 Locust Ave, Washington, PA 15301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Immaculate Conception Church of St. James Parish (119 W Chestnut St, Washington, PA 15301).
The family suggests that memorial contributions be directed to Immaculate Conception Church or Amedysis Hospice 450 Racetrack Rd Washington, PA.
