He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Johns and Alice Johns (Hoak); his wife Carolyn Ruth Johns (Woods); his daughter Connie Rose McAninch; and his siblings, Gerald, Merle, Percy Johns, Diane M. Baker and Jean Gneitling.
He is survived by: his children, Donna Peters of Vandergrift, Patty Sciullo (Vern) of Vandergrift, Donald "Butch" Johns (Nancy) of Brackenridge and Todd Johns of Monongahela; and his sister Anna Mae McIntyre of Brackenridge. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
