He was predeceased by: his parents, Casper Sr. Lerch and Anna Lerch; his wife Gloria A. Lerch; his sons, Glenn Lerch, Andrew Lerch and Jeffrey D. Lerch; and his brother Fred Lerch.

He is survived by: his daughter Deborah Cherok (Joseph) of Lower Burrell; and his siblings, Gloria Fleischer, Don Lerch and John Lerch. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren.
