He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maryanna and Mike Matey Sr.; his wife Marlene; his children, Michael III (Leslie), Nicole Matey-Reynolds and Carrie Matey; his grandchildren, Rebecca Reynolds, Daniel Reynolds, Matthew Reynolds, Christopher Fallis, Willow Matey, Holly Pattison and Michael Paul Matey, IV; his siblings, Brad Matey (Charis), Janet Barsky and John Moyer (Joan); his sisters-in-law, Colleen Schantz (Joe), Christine Cubano and Helene Ryan; his sister Mary Beth Green; and his brother-in-law Michael Ryan.
