He was predeceased by: his spouse Mary T. Durkin (McGowan); and his child Thomas Durkin. He is survived by: his children, Barbara Bomberger (Roy), Joseph Durkin (Josephine) and John Durkin (Sandra); and his sister Pat Spanfeller (Durkin). He is also survived by several brothers and a sister.
