He was predeceased by: his parents, David Charles and Esther Charles (Ament); and his brothers, Robert, Jay and Carl.
He is survived by: his daughters, Marcia LaRusso (Salvatore) of Mount Joy and Karen DiGiovanne (Dave Adams) of Lancaster; his grandchildren, Katie Diminick (Luke) and Sean Strangeway (Emily); and his great grandchild Charlotte.
