She was predeceased by: her parents, James Shields and Annie Shields; and her siblings, Mary Thresa Sharples, Daniel and James Shields.
She is survived by: her significant other Andrew; her children, Michelle, Sarah Sutton, Andrew (Sue) and Martin (Ronnie); and her sister Kathleen Zynwala. She is also survived by her seven grandchildren, her three great grandchildren.
