He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward MacLachlin and Norma MacLachlin; and his siblings, Joseph McLaughlin and Winifred Courtney. He is survived by: his wife Mary MacLachlin; his children, Lisa Hunter (Richard) and Michael R MacLachlin, Jr. (Amy Gurevitch); his grandchildren, Conor, Andrew, Michael III, Rhys and Nathaniel; and his siblings, Theresa Garrison-Keegan (late Mike), Edward A. MacLachlin Jr. (late Linda), Rosemary Colleen, Marianne Hull (Gerard), Karen Mickiewicz (Jay Ruser), Lucy Mickletz (Jim Barkley), Dennis (Bonnie), Bruce (late Vicki), John (Dawn) and Suzanne (Mike). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
