He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Paul Koons and Evelyn Koons; his wife Cindy Koons (Yurasko); his children, Jenn Stratis (Nick), Chris Staub (Lauren), Rory "Young Man" Staub (Ruth) and Betsy "Cuteness" Staub (Greg); his grandchildren, Jack "Buddy" Stratis, Julia "Precious" Stratis, Niko "Wild Man" Stratis, Matthew "Ice Man" Stratis, Alex "Curly" Stratis and Reagan "Echo" Staub; and his siblings, Sue Ellen Koons (Sandi), Bruce Koons (Cindy) and Annie Charrette-Foley (Brian). He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Abramson Cancer Center at Penn Medicine or the Willow Grove Baptist Church Food Pantry.
