He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parent America; his wife Adeline Sorace; his daughter Mary Beth Hummel of Quakertown; his granddaughters, Kaitlyn and Meghan Hummel; and his brothers, Frank (Anne), Aurelio "Sonny" (Bonnie), Dominic "Mickey" (Gail) and Roland (Rosalie).

In lieu of flowers, Joe's family has requested memorial donations be made to his church, St. Robert Bellarmine.
