He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Platt and Frances Platt (Rizzio); his brother Gerald Platt; and his granddaughter Madison Goetz. He is survived by: his wife Michelle Costello; his children, Michael Platt (Cheryl), Robert Platt, Stacey Platt (Bob Hojnowski), Lauren Costello Goetz (Jeffrey) and Stephanie Costello Ganley (Edward); and his grandchildren, Melissa Platt, Jenna Hojinowski, Avery Hojinowski, Brandon Platt, Jeffrey Goetz, Ryan Goetz and Sabrina Policino.
