He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sr. Benson and Mildred Benson; his former wife Jane Adams of December; and his wife Maureen. He is survived by: his sons, Patrick Benson (Karen), Mark Benson, Robert Benson and Timothy Benson (Carole); and his stepchildren, Sheila B. Colvin (Donald) and Gregory Held (Madelon). He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Robert Bellarmine Church (856 Euclid Ave, Warrington, PA 18976). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, March 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (311 N Woodland Ave, Oglesby, IL 61348).
