It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael William Vantassel of Warren, Pennsylvania, born in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on September 15, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar W. Vantassel and Maybelle Vantassel (Burgess); his wife Cheryl L. Vantassel (Gess); his son Michael Vantassel Jr.; and his sisters, Babby Vantassel and Debra Vantassel (Darr).

He is survived by: his children, Dena Carr (Frank) of Texas, Andrew Darr (Amani) of Alabama and Stacy Simonsen (Dan) of Ohio; and his siblings, Tammy Eaves, Edgar Vantassel Jr. and Lorraine Bailes. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild.
