He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mayou and Marie Knaus Mayou; his daughter Nicole Marie Mayou; and his brother-in-law Melvin Harlan. He is survived by: his wife Linda Stoker Mayou; his daughters, Tammy Rybarski (Scott) of Monongahela and Kelly Mankovich (Michael) of Wexford; his grandchildren, Raquel (Eric Weinheimer), Alaina (Titus Fredd), Cole Nickolls, Zachary, Tyler Klinefelter and Arabella Mankovich; his great grandchildren, Brady, Katelyn Weinheimer and Levi Fredd; and his sister Pamela Harlan of Elizabeth Township. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
