He is survived by: his wife Theresa Essig; his daughters, Melinda Essig and Danielle Essig Candy (Bill); his grandchildren, Ryan Essig Candy (Colleen O'Malley), Alison Essig Candy and Courtney Essig Candy; and his nephews, Kenn Essig (Saree Essig) and Walt Pohl (Megan Payne).
