He was predeceased by: his parents, John McCarthy and Margaret McCarthy; and his brothers, John "Jack" and Robert. He is survived by: his former wife Irene T. McCarthy; his children, Thomas Jr., John, Robert and Kelly Anne; his grandchildren, Lauren, Julie, Christian and Olivia; and his great grandchild Declan.
