It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Louis R. Gerard Schmid of Warminster, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on June 26, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Louis Schmid and Mary Schmid (Tinney). He is survived by : his wife Elaine Lukens Schmid; his pets, Ringo, Mandy and Brittany; his children, Mary-Ellen (Dobby Dobson), Jerry (Martha Schmid), Lisa (Marty Matfess) and Chris (Maureen Schmid); his grandchildren, Deryn and Kieran Darcy; his children, Anne-Marie Schmid, Liz, Mike McGee, Hilary Matfess, Dan Heether, Andrew Schmid, Daniel Schmid, Ashton McGee and Lillian Matfess; his sister Sister Margaret; his sister-in-law Joan Kilofas; his niece Karen; his nephew-in-law Ed Salcedo; his nephew Howard Jeffs; his friend Lady; and also, Aidan and Declan Darcy. He is also survived by children married and the grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Good Counsel Church (611 Knowles Ave, Southampton, PA 18966). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, July 2nd 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
