He was predeceased by: his parent George Gilbert; his spouse Alma Gilbert (Fitzgerald); and his siblings, George Gilbert, Elizabeth Johnson and Marie Hafer.
He is survived by: his parent Elizabeth Weisser Gilbert; and his children, Joseph Gilbert (Patty), Alma Dobson (Gary), Linda McCracken (Robert) and Diane Duffy (Jim).
