He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Cartin and Marie Cartin; his wife Eileen; his children, Joe (Sarah), Amy (Walt), Christopher, John (Jeanine), Thomas (Denise), Monica (Dan), Daniel (Kristen) and Lindsay (Dave); and his sisters, Mary Davis, Peggy Frey and Gerri Glatthorn.
