He was predeceased by: his wife Shirley M. Corey; and his parents, Joseph Corey and Rose Corey. He is survived by: his sons, Joseph P. Corey (Pattie) of North Wales and James F. Corey (Karin) of Warrington; and his grandchildren, Aubrie Corey, Timothy Corey, Natalie McMinn (Kevin) and James J. Corey (Lydia).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joseph A. Corey's name to the American Cancer Society or any organization helping Veterans.
