He was predeceased by: his parents, G. Howard Carey and Agnes I. Carey; his brother George H. Carey, Jr.; and his wife Elizabeth J. "Betty" Carey. He is survived by: his friend Lucille Walker; his sister Jeanne (Robert Gough) of Albuquerque, NM; his children, Betty Jean Carbone (Albert) of Warminster, PA, John H. Carey, Jr. (R. Susan) of Chester Springs, PA and Peter D. Carey, Sr. (Beth) of Norristown, PA.; and his grandchildren, James, William Flanagan, Anthony Carbone, Lisa Stauffer, John H. Carey, III, Peter D. Carey, Jr. and Alyssa Carey. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
