He was predeceased by: his wife Carole Knopf; his sons, Stephen and Michael; and his grandson Stephen, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, John (Connie) of Lansdale and Andrea Hecker (Matthew) of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by three granddaughters, five grandsons and two great-grandchildren.
