He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse James and Alma McGeary; and his daughter AnnaMarie Perks. He is survived by: his wife Anna McGeary; his son Gerald R. McGeary, Jr.; his grandchildren, Zachary McGeary (Jessica), Alex, Emily, Matthew and Abigail Perks; and his sisters, Alice Chuisa and Donna Covington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to the CrossWay Community Church Missions Fund at the above address.
