He was predeceased by: his parents, Betty Lou and Gerald Ecott; and his brother David Ecott. He is survived by: his wife Shelly; his daughters, Stacey Lancaster (Seth) and Sara Hartey (Daniel, Jr.); his grandchildren, Noah, Abigail Lancaster and Callan Hartey; and his siblings, Nancy Penderghest, Barbara Walsh, Cathy Stretz, Jerry Ecott and Debra Ritter.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations in Gary's name to the Pennsylvania SPCA.
