It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank Lewis Mertens of Warminster, Pennsylvania, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 24, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank James and Helen Mertens; his wife Catherine A.; his sister Helen Horoff; and his son-in-law Michael Boyle.

He is survived by: his children, Frank A., Catherine Rooney (William), Patricia Boyle, Joanne Rooney (John), Elizabeth Walsh and Mary Mertens; his grandchildren, Sean, Amanda, Thomas Rooney, William, Anna Kathleen Rooney (Brenton Stewart), Brian (Bethann Kulp), Catherine and Michael Walsh; and his friend Margaret Flagler.
