“(cont'd) I have several articles about him that were published in Cheryl Kirby's wonderful magazine "Echoes of LBI," that will accompany the paintings for our daughters eventually, so that they "get the whole picture." They were not with us on the tour the day we bought the first painting, as I recall, so they didn't have the pleasure of meeting Ed. “(cont'd) daughter after we depart this mortal coil, and we bought another of Ed's paintings a year or two ago at Wildflowers Too for our older daughter. And we've even seen one of his paintings above the toilet in the women's bathroom in the Episcopal Church in Barnegat Light! I did chat once or twice with Ed over the years and found him to be an absolutely delightful human being, and I even tried to get in touch with him via phone in late August this year, to no avail. “(cont'd) I wanted was of the 13th Street beach at Barnegat Light, which is the widest beach on LBI. The painting was fairly large and was framed by him in barn siding. The price: $75.00. Both my husband and I love that painting and in fact we took it just a week and a half or so to a framer to re-mat and re-frame, on the advice of the owner of Wildflowers Too, a wonderful gift store in Barnegat Light at which Ed's paintings had been sold for years. “(cont'd) name of the next door neighbor whom I called to ask for his name and if she knew where his paintings were sold (she gave me his # and said the paintings are often available at fall events staged at Viking Village in the fall in Barnegat Light). At any rate, I called Ed and asked if we could return to his home to potentially purchase a painting.
