He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Peter Mitchell and Joanne Mitchell; his wife Abigail; and his children, Christopher (Cheyenne), Andrew and Rebecca.

Viewing was held on Tuesday, March 25th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Decker/Givnish Funeral Home (216 York Rd, Warminster, PA 18974). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery (830 Highland Rd, Newtown, PA 18940).
