He was predeceased by: his parents, Agnes Gentner and Joseph Gentner; his brother Charles Petersen; and his niece Joann Gentner. He is survived by: his siblings, Joseph J. Gentner and Kathleen Woehr (Raymond); and his great-niece Caroline. He is also survived by twelve nieces and nephews, 23 great-nieces and nephews.
