He is survived by: his wife Donna W. Hackert; his sons, Barry Jr. and Brian (Jaqueline); his grandchildren, Taylor June Hackert, Hunter Lee, Brian C., Tyler, Dylan and Brooke; and his pet Koko.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Barry's name to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
