He was predeceased by: his brother Herman Strait. He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Strait; his children, Jason Strait (Miranda), Kevin Strait (Amy), Joe Kocher (Judy) and Tina Zimmerman (Andy); and his siblings, Debby Smith, Linda Barling and Jake Strait. He is also survived by twenty-four grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
