She was predeceased by: her parents, James Johnson and Ethel Johnson (Myers); her husband William Van "Bud" Kirk, Jr.; her daughter Sarah Jane Werdebaugh; and her sister Mary Susan Layton.
She is survived by: her children, Shirley A. Younker of Mercersburg, William Van Kirk, III of Warfordsburg and John Michael Kirk (Wavy) of Warfordsburg; her sister Alice Irene Golden of Hancock; her grandchildren, Ronnie Werdebaugh, Jr., Bobbi Jo Trovinger, Briar Kirk and Candace Kirk; and her great grandchildren, Whitney Trovinger, Gracie Black, Bryce Kirk, Lily Funk and Hazel Kirk.
