He was predeceased by: his parents, Daniel Smith and Bernice Smith (Lucas); and his brothers, Donald and Daniel Smith. He is survived by: his son Rodney R. Smith, Jr. (Joan); his grandchildren, Nathan and Abigayle Smith of Warfordsburg; and his siblings, Dale Smith and Carol Ann Young of Ky.
