With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of JoAnn Jones of Warfordsburg, Pennsylvania, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 20, 2025 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by: her parents, George W. Staggs, Sr. and Bernice Leatherman; her husband Ronald Lee Jones; and her siblings, George Staggs, Jr. (Bill), Harry Staggs, Henry Lee Staggs and Evelyn Starkey.
She is survived by: her children, Roger Beatty (Judy) of Hagerstown, MD, Rick Beatty (Eileen) of Burlington and Betty Whetzel of Warfordsburg, PA; and her siblings, John Staggs of Florida, Louise Pfeifer of Keyser, WV, Teddy Hanlin of Keyser, WV, Midge Evans of Keyser, WV, Barbara Rohrbaugh of Keyser, WV and Dory Smith of Marietta, Ohio.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Grove-Rogowski Funeral Home (141 W Main St, Hancock, MD 21750). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
