Beatrice Edgerton Obituary
Beatrice Pauline Edgerton, 89, of Wampum, PA passed away the afternoon of November 16, 2020 at UPMC Jameson. Born on May 1, 1931 in Johnstown, PA she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Thelma B. Evans Stewart. On December 11, 1954 Beatrice married her beloved husband, Paul Leroy Edgerton, Sr. He preceded her in death on August 9, 2006.
Beatrice had worked as a Nurses Aide until she retired. She was an active member of Grace United Methodist Ministry. Beatrice will be remembered and missed as a Prayer Warrior for all. Beatrice was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan. She enjoyed gardening, and doing jig saw and word search puzzles. She looked forward to going to bingo with her friends.
A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother Beatrice's greatest joy was the time she spent with her family. Beatrice is survived by her children, Paul Leroy Edgerton, Jr. of New Castle, William Ralph Edgerton of West Pittsburg, Pauline L. Bunnell of Cumberland, MD, and Patricia Ann Stiver of Leesburg, FL, eleven grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Beatrice was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Edgerton and her brother, William. The family would like to extend a very special Thank You to Ruth Ann Olson for her wonderful care of Beatrice over the years. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Ed & Don DeCarbo Funeral Home & Crematory, 941 South Mill St. A service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
Daryl Locke will officiate. Due to COVID-19, Visitors are required to adhere to CDC guidelines regarding the wearing of face masks, the six-foot rule will be honored. Thank you for your understanding. Burial will be in Savannah Cemetery.
